$1.78 Records and the Future

While we feel that we have finally gotten the start of some footings as a legit record label, we still have a lot of work to do. With 30+ contributors to the "artist's co-op" that defines us, everyone's time, talent, and patience is appreciated. But we all have lives and day jobs at this point. Where does that leave us?

Hopeful. We've had dozens of releases over the last few years, some of them getting national (and in some cases, worldwide) attention on low levels. THAT IS...with minimal promotion. We would love to have people that are into music promotion for the love of doing it and for the support of $1.78 Records and its releases. Alas, we've not locked that down yet. And that is a HUGE part of where we need to be next.

We ARE, however, always working on new music. With the upcoming album releases Ashes & Orchids' Exposure Culture (7/10/26), Whisper Engines' Drag Me Into the Deep (8/7/26), and an untitled Americano Prelude album (slated for September/Fall '26), there is plenty of work underway. Not to mention several singles by several of the other $1.78 Records bands (Oshu Fenix single Contained drops 6/19/26).

So, we're still working at it, passionately and bit by bit, with the time and resources we have. Please stay tuned for more.
